Emergency Food Relief

Recurring droughts in the northeast region of Somalia and Somaliland have left many families without enough food or water. Failed rains have resulted in crop losses, livestock deaths, and widespread food insecurity, particularly affecting children, older people, widows, and low-income families.

Your generous donations helped us provide emergency food assistance to those most in need.

Our Impact

Working with trusted local partners, ANRA distributed essential food supplies—including rice, flour, cooking oil and dates to vulnerable communities across north eastern Somalia and Somaliland.

Following more than 2½ years of drought, ANRA provided almost £10,000 worth of emergency food aid, including £7,309.38 distributed across north eastern Somalia and £2,458 in Somaliland. This support helped families meet their basic food needs during a time of severe hardship.

This project provided vital support to vulnerable families during a period of severe hardship and helped strengthen community resilience.
