Science Laboratory Equipment

Al-Nasr Relief Agency (ANRA) received a donation of science laboratory equipment and apparatus from the LabAid Foundation (UK) to support science education in Somalia in July 2024.

The equipment was intended to improve access to practical laboratory learning for students at Somali National University, helping strengthen science education and training opportunities.

The donation was made possible through LabAid’s programme, which redistributes surplus science equipment from UK schools upgrading their laboratories to educational institutions in developing countries.

ANRA facilitated the receipt, preparation and coordination of the equipment for onward delivery. The shipment process was supported through UK-based contacts responsible for international transport logistics.

This initiative helped ensure that valuable laboratory equipment was reused effectively, supporting higher education and improving learning opportunities for students in Somalia.
