Hospital Ultrasound Appeal

Badhan General Hospital, located in the eastern Sanaag region of northern Somalia, serves more than 50,000 people, many of whom travel long distances to access basic and emergency healthcare services.

The hospital's ability to provide timely diagnosis and treatment is limited by a lack of an ultrasound machine. Without this essential equipment, pregnancy complications, internal injuries and other serious medical conditions may go undetected, leading to delayed treatment and avoidable health risks.

Many patients are required to travel to distant hospitals for diagnostic scans, which can be difficult and costly for families living in rural areas.

Al-Nasr Relief Agency (ANRA) is raising funds to purchase and install an ultrasound machine for Badhan General Hospital.

This vital equipment will improve emergency, maternity, and general healthcare by enabling earlier diagnosis, reducing the need for long-distance travel for scans, and strengthening healthcare services in this underserved region.

The project will also include training for hospital staff to ensure the equipment can be used effectively and sustainably.

Help Save Lives!

We are seeking to raise £10,000 to provide this life-saving equipment.

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, £1,000 has already been raised via https://gofund.me/f15563224, with £9,000 still needed.

Every donation, whatever the amount, brings us closer to reaching our goal.
