Plant a Tree Initiative
Al-Nasr Relief Agency (ANRA) is supporting tree-planting initiatives across the North East Region of Somalia to help restore the environment and support communities affected by drought and climate change.
The region has experienced land degradation, water scarcity, and loss of vegetation, impacting livelihoods, food security, and local ecosystems.
What We Are Doing
Through this initiative, we are helping to:
Restore degraded land
Improve soil quality
Reduce erosion
Increase water retention
Support biodiversity and local ecosystems
So far, 50 trees have been planted, helping to improve living conditions in schools, hospitals, and residential areas while providing long-term environmental benefits for local communities.
Trees also help combat climate change, restore natural balance, create greener and healthier environments for future generations.
Our Work on the Ground
This project is delivered by the ANRA team in Somalia, working closely with local communities to identify suitable planting areas and ensure trees are planted and cared for effectively.
Support This Initiative
It costs just $35 to plant one tree and directly support environmental restoration work in Somalia.
Your donation helps us:
Plant more trees across affected areas
Restore degraded land
Support communities impacted by drought
Build long-term environmental resilience
Our Commitment
We are proud of the impact achieved through the support of our donors and partners. Together, we are helping combat climate change, restore the environment, and bring lasting hope and stability to vulnerable communities in the North East Region of Somalia.
